In this series, I plan to keep playing VGC and learn along the way as I play! Hopefully over time I will improve and you all will be able to learn some new stuff as well. Thank you for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoy!

Before this stream my friend walked me through some battles and helped me to develop some better habits. I think you'll find that I play much better in this video than I have in the past because of this.

Battle 1 Analysis:

I end up leading Dragapult and Incineroar in this battle against Togekiss and Blastoise. I think I would have been better off leading Urshifu and Coalossal so that I could set up Coalossal immediately. By setting up Coalossal that quickly, I would be able to outspeed the Togekiss with Coalossal and prevent a possible Tailwind from going up. I end up letting Blastoise set up turn 1 which really isn't good. However, I play around this by using Will-O-Wisp on Blastoise thus cutting its attack in half. After Incineroar goes down, I send out Urshifu since Coalossal will instantly die to G-max Blastoise in order to stall out my opponent's dynamax. On my opponent's last turn of dynamax, I take a risk and switch Dragapult out for Coalossal and set it up with an Aqua Jet. I'm fairly certain the Blastoise will target my Urshifu instead of my Dragapult which is why I decided to do this. It was also probably my only win condition at this point in the match. Luckily, the turn goes exactly as expected. However, my Coalossal had too much damage on it and ended up getting knocked out.

Overall I think I played this match fairly well. My biggest misplay was leading Dragapult and Incineroar. If I had led Coalossal and Urshifu, I could've set up Coalossal immediately and been in a really good position right off the bat.

Battle 2 Analysis:

I look at my opponent's team and my immediate thought is that they have a Trick Room team. I want to shut down Trick Room as quickly as possible so I lead Dragapult and Coalossal which I think is the correct lead in this scenario. My Dragapult will most likely outspeed my opponent's Pokemon, or can take a hit at least, and can set up Coalossal right away so I can deal with Trick Room as soon as possible. My opponent leads Cresselia and Glastrier which I'm happy about since Glastrier is probably the Pokemon my opponent is relying on to win. If I set up Coalossal, I can easily deal with Glastrier. After I knock out Glastrier, I easily sweep the rest of my opponent's team with Coalossal and Incineroar.

Overall I think this battle played out really well. It was a bit scary when Glastrier didn't die to Max Flare but I think dealt with it pretty well.
