Aveum is a world filled with magic and bloodshed. Leylines spread Magic across the land and can be used by special individuals known as Magni. Aveum was originally comprised of five kingdoms, each separated by fissures that converge at the center of the world in an infinitely deep chasm known as The Wound. Each Kingdom has battled for control of Aveum's magic for millennia in a conflict known as the Everwar. Now only Lucium remains to stand against the Kingdom of Rasharn and Sandrakk, the Lord Marshall of the Rasharnian Army.

Players control Jak, a Triarch Magni with the extremely rare ability to wield all three colors of magic. Having recently joined Lucium's Order of the Immortals under the command of General Kirkan, Jak stands to turn the tide of the Everwar.
