Impact ( http://impactjs.com ) was just released for free under the MIT open source license. The code is available on Github ( https://github.com/phoboslab/Impact ). It also includes a level editor called weltmeister, which unfortunately requires a local web server with PHP support to run.

This was a $99 purchase in the past, but I have to imagine selling an HTML5 engine in a world with the excellent framework had to be a hard sell.
