Impact - The Theme of Rhalgr's Reach
2As the endgame hub of Stormblood, the music has to be good enough to tolerate for hours on end. For the most part, I would say Impact succeeded. Minor lore spoilers ahead.
As a cheery, instrumental version of "The Measure of His Reach", this theme actually starts off slightly confusing. The first time we hear an iteration of this song beyond Rhalgr's Reach, it's called "The Measure of Our Reach", the regional anthem for the Garlean Empire. It creates an odd dissonance, where you associate the theme with Garlemald, but it's played in the headquarters of the local resistance. It isn't until late in the story that you realize that the Garleans had, in fact, stolen the cultural heritage of Ala Mhigo by taking a traditional hymn and rewriting it in classic propagandist fashion.
