4"Ishgard remembers, Warrior of Light!"
Of all the moments in Stormblood, nothing impacted me more than the dungeon of Ala Mhigo. As may be obvious, I treat Laisha not just as my avatar, but as a character in her own right. She would have advocated for open war with Garlemald since long before the Praetorium. Although Ilberd's method to force a conflict would enrage her, secretly, she would relish the opportunity to make a real difference.
And after the long slog to get there, it was like a dam burst. Suddenly, everything she fought for, everything she did, had come to a peak, and it was time to make the Garleans know it.
This dungeon is spectacular. There's a sense of momentum as Garlean soldiers charge at you from around every corner in a bid to stop you. Along the way, you can see every ally you've made along the way fighting with you. The Ishgardian soldier who shouts the quote above particularly moves me. And all the while, this theme plays, driving you forward.
