The Imperial War Museum has opened its first permanent gallery dedicated to the Victoria Cross. The Extraordinary Heroes exhibition houses the world's largest collection of the bravery medal. The honours have been donated by the former Conservative party Deputy Chairman Lord Ashcroft.
