The Gumpathon runners have completed their mission to run 3,520 miles across America. The six current and former service personnel arrived in Santa Monica, Los Angeles in time to mark a two minute silence for Armistice day at 11:00am. They were joined for the last miles of their route by amputees who are part of the Wounded Warriors project. The team left New York 63 days ago and have run across three deserts, four time zones and ten mountain ranges to raise money for Help for Heroes, The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund and the American charity - Semper Fi Fund. Among the team was triple amputee Mark Ormrod who ran up to 5 miles on some days of the Gumpathon. The team have raised nearly £100,000 for charity.
