This is Hue, a newly released indie game that I'm so excited to show you!

You're Hue, the main character of this game, whose quest is to save a girl trapped in the spectrum of the impossible colours, where the evil Dr. Grey have put her. Not only that, but Dr. Grey also shattered the ring granting access to this place, for reasons unknown (yes, many evul indeed)...

This ring, the Colour Ring, grants the ability to change the colour of the background, which can reveal or hide objects. It is an amazingly simple, yet complex game mechanic, and fits perfectly the theme and atmosphere of this indie masterpiece!

I am totally out of words, when trying to praise this game... Just join me in the video, together we'll stop Dr. Grey and save the girl ;)

Hue is one of those games that defines exactly what indie games are and why they’re important to the gaming world as a whole. I’m putting Hue in the same category with brilliant indie games like Braid, Undertale, Bastion, Fez and the like, which all show exactly what indie game developers are capable of: Simple, fun and amazing mechanics, put in a wonderful world with an amazing story.

Hue’s first and foremost strength is the core mechanic, which is so simple and fun that I seriously don’t know why it haven’t been done before. Having the ability to change colours of the background makes for some easy-to-understand but hard-to-master gameplay, which is exactly why I play it. From the very first moment that I saw the development of the game, I was in love, and that love was only confirmed once it was released. If you don’t want to play this award winning game for the mechanics, play Hue for the touching story and the gorgeous world, bearing strong resemblance to Limbo and the works of Tim Burton.
