The new Touhou game has dropped and, as expected, it's an absolute blast. The new item system allows for a lot of creative approaches to clearing stages, making Impossible Spell Card easily one of the most fun games to play around with in the whole series.

That said, every stage is theoretically clearable without the use of main items at all. I've decided that I'll do another video series of No-Item Clears, similar to my series on Double Spoiler. Bear in mind all of these approaches assume you have the sub-item slot unlocked, which requires clearing scene 6-1. Sub-items do NOT count against getting the no-item clear in a stage (unless you're using the substitute as a sub and get hit).

Recommended Sub: Cursed Doll
There's a gap in the back of the "impossible" wave, but it's not needed. The cursed doll's power boost will let you get the win before the bullets even reach you.

Recommended Sub: Cursed Doll OR Yin-Yang Orb
Cursed doll allows you to deal enough damage to only need to survive one red wave, but the Yin-Yang orb might make slipping through a bit easier. When a gap shows itself in the red wave, slip through quickly before it closes.

Recommended Sub: Cursed Doll
Light blue bullets home in on you, dark blue bullets are a set pattern. Get in her face to do lots of damage, and then move outward to avoid getting trapped by the bullets. The light blue bullets are not a problem so long as you move, allowing you to focus solely on the dark blue bullets.

Recommended Sub: Cursed Doll OR Yin-Yang Orb
This one is unfortunately somewhat luck based on how the last couple waves space themselves. Cursed Doll ensures you only have to survive one set of attacks, but Yin-Yang Orb will make dodging the last waves a little easier.

Recommended Sub: Yin-Yang Orb
There is a safespot a little bit below the starting point when using the Yin-Yang Orb, but it's very specific and I'm not entirely sure it works 100% consistently. If you're not going to try the safespot strategy, move around such that you only have to worry about passing through one dense wave at a time, instead of both at once.

Recommended Sub: Cursed Doll
A simple game of misdirecting shots to where they cause minimal issues.
