IMPRESSIVE Top-down Soulslike With A Unique Dash System | Retrace The Light Demo Gameplay
2Hello everyone! We continue with more demos of upcoming games, and this one was recently released (no idea if it was part of the Steam Next Fest). This is Retrace the Light, a top-down soulslike RPG that reminded me a lot to Death's Door, but this one has a unique mechanic; your dash works as spatial retracing, meaning that you can go back any place that was part of the route you took while dashing (probably is better watching than explaining), and you can combine that with perfect dodges and flank attacks, giving place to a really fun and unique style of combat. You will also be able to used this spatial mechanic to move objects, solve puzzles and so on. For me, the main highlight was the smooth combat and boss.
