Incredibly Grindy Bullet Heaven Roguelite RPG | Tower of Babel: Survivors of Chaos Demo Gameplay
5Hello everyone! This was another of the most popular demos during the latest Steam Next Fest. Tower of Babel: Survivors of Chaos is an upcoming game where gameplay is taken from bullet heaven games, while meta-progression is taken from RPG (or dungeon crawlers). You go into your run, you kill with auto-shooting and auto-aiming, collect XP, level up, choose between 3 upgrades and repeat 'till a certain point (no idea what, because didn't get that far), while collecting money and loot that will help you with the meta-progression, which you will deal with after every run. There is a lot to upgrade and collect (giving me the feeling of a farming RPG, like path of exile) but progression is really slow, so you just have to repeat this process over and over, to keep getting slowly stronger.
I know a lot of people enjoy this gameplay loop... I don't. So, definitely not for me, but I am still sharing this for the others who might see in this their future addiction.
