Diskmark is diskmark; Real life performance is always different, but it's safe to say that allocation size matters a lot. This has been confirmed over and over. Flash drives, especially slower 2.0 are not good for storing a lot of tiny size files. Trying to compress small files into a bigger zip file before copying it to the flash drive helps tremendously.
