A poorly-received game released much too late in the day, Hacx saw new life in 2010 with a standalone version that is further enhanced by the ever-improving Doom source ports. It won't set the world on fire, but it's a re-skin of some very familiar mechanics. Here's the first few minutes of the opening level as proof of that.

Wildly swinging your mouse about in an approximation of recoil doesn't make the guns more powerful by the way, sorry about that!
