In HOU; 12th Opening Day Start, 48th Aces Duel
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim start the new season on the road in Houston, TX, with their new Ace, who joined the team via trade during the off-season. The International Ace returns to his stomping grounds for the first time since his last team of the AL was with the Chicago White Sox. He has his next Aces Duel against his new team's division rivals of the AL West, the Astros.
The first time the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim took on the Houston Astros was on June 18, 2004, at the Minute Maid Park. The Houston Astros won that particular clash 5-0. The Astros used to be members of the National League Central Division back then. They have since made the move to the American League West Division. Since the move, these two sides have squared-off against each other every season. Overall, the Astros have the slight edge over the Angels and their rivalry remained fierce. They write the next chapter with their 1st-ever Opening Day encounter
