So yesterday I've learned about the MrBeast vs. Turner nontroversy. And I think the Turner guy is full of it.
Now, why would I think that? First of all, MrBeast is nothing but generous and kind. I've already wrote it in the comment section of MrBeast's most recent video (driving through the drivethru 1000 times one in case he uploaded more since then which he obviously will), but I will say it again here. This world is full of people who mistake kindness for weakness and try to prey on it. I despise wholeheartedly people like that. I simply... can't stand them. And I think is one such individuum.
There were videos already made about inconsistencies in statements of Turner, most notably by Optimus and Bowblax, so let me use a different angle. Some time ago MrBeast made a video about giving a homeless (or soon to be homeless, not really sure) elderly gentleman a new home. He even paid utilities for a year in advance and paid his debts and put quality furniture and amazing TV in. Now why would such evil asshole (which is how Turner portrays MrBeast as) do such thing? For views? There are much funnier ways to make videos about spending money that give views, as recent videos of MrBeast shows (particularly who leaves X last gets Y series). No, what he did was out of kindness of his heart and he did get a video out of that as a side benefit.
Now, you may think that this is a facade, as Turner will most likely claim to be the case. But here's a thing about asshole youtubers: it shows in their content. I can be an asshole. It shows in my content. Keemstar is most definitely an asshole. It shows in his content. Jeremy from The Quartering is an asshole. It shows in his content. Obviously being an asshole doesn't preclude you from getting a popular channel and some assholes (like aforementioned Jeremy) may even be necessary, but MrBeast is not an asshole.
Was MrBeast an asshole, his channel would be full of mean-spirited but catchy videos such as paying people for eating gross stuff or for doing Jackass-style stunts. Instead, when you go to his channel you wouldn't find such content, none of the vids there are of the kind I've just described. Instead they're fun for all parties involved, even if you won't win, you'd still have fun.
So one question remains. Why would Turner make such accusations when MrBeast, as we've established, is not an asshole? Well, if you don't know what's something about, it's probably about money. And guess what, that seems to be the case as Turner, in his tweets after being warned that MrBeast can sue him for defamation admitted that his broke as fuck (paraphrasng). He splurged all his savings on trip to Asia or whatever he was doing for the past year and didn't have anything left. And instead of getting a job like a normal person would he decided to start the nontroversy about his former boss, hoping he would either make money on ads or get people to support him financially in other ways. MrBeast knowing himself how to make money probably warned him too about not spending everything he had on said trip, which probably added to the resentment when he was proven right and gave Turner an excuse to hate someone else than Turner about Turner's own failings that were caused by Turner. Turner is full of it, is what I'm saying.
