In the end, only the lie remained
"In the End, Only the Lie Remained"
In my self-edited video titled "In the End, Only the Lie Remained," it is about a quiet but crucial moment from The Last of Us. Ellie has lived with Joel’s words for a long time. She trusted him or at least wanted to believe that his decision was the right one. Yet deep inside, doubt remained. At some point, she had to face the fact that Joel had not been honest with her. This video shows how a single untruth can create closeness but also cause a distance that can never be undone.
Was it worth it?
Is it ever acceptable to lie to someone if you believe you are protecting them?
Or do you risk exactly what matters most?
What do you think?
Can a lie ever be justified when everything is at stake in the end?
