For the first time on In The Lab and at the behest of Alex, we check out a mod. It's also the first mod we've ever seen that is being charged for on Steam. Aperture Tag is a campaign complete mod for Portal 2 that focuses entirely on the paint mechanics from the game. It's surprisingly better than you would expect.
Aperture Tag: The Paint Gun Testing Initiative is a fully featured mod for Portal 2 where you play a new test subject who is tasked with going through a litany of testing chambers all specially designed for the paint gun, a modified portal gun that takes advantage of the paint introduced in Portal 2. Not only do you get a campaign's worth of levels for only $7, but it also features a new narrator and plot. Check it out on Steam today.
