Inca walkthrough (Apple II - Hayden software)
"'Help me! I fear for my life! By the time you read this, I may be dead!'
One dark night, a note bearing these words appears mysteriously on your doorstop. That note, and the mysterious disappearance of your friend, the noted anthropologist and archaeologist Dr. Paul Jamison, launch you an a dangerous adventure that takes you halfway around the world, to the treacherous jungles of primitive Peru.
Your friend Jamison has searched these jungles in vain for the fabled lost treasure of the Incan Empire. He has left you his only clue -- the ancient Incan sunburst brooch. Now, it's your turn to try."
Inca (https://www.mobygames.com/game/apple2/inca_) was a text adventure game published by Hayden software in 1985 for the Apple ][. The game is powered by the Storyteller Presentation system, which uses text characters for animation and operates in real-time, similar to the BTZ system created by Synapse, which powered games such as Mindwheel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODKy8-c-If8). Hope you enjoy the walkthrough!
The long play is done by Smartadventurer, a program that I wrote to automate the playing for vintage Apple ][ games. You can follow the project here: https://vinniethelung.wordpress.com/tag/smartadventurer/
