7In Incantris, mages fight in teams of three to become champions of The Kingdom of Aldramere, meeting at the ruins of Orleal in the Misty Moorlands to put an end to a brutal magical war that could destroy the world.
A simple magical combat skirmish game for 1 to 4 players, using hex tiles, cardboard terrain, 8 sided dice and miniatures, you do battle in one of the 4 scenarios included in the rulebook . I unbox the game, look over the contents and run a little demo session before saying what I think.
Cons- Cardboard terrain, box a bit to small, needs expansions to really flex its muscles, 12 minis but only 5 sculpts, could do with more dice, some bits hard to get in UK (if you missed kickstarter). Blue and purple minis may be hard to tell apart.
Pros - small box, quick play, small downtime, simple fun, engaging gameplay, 6 "class" types with 25 spells/abilities, decent quality production, good mix of male and female figures - represents good bang for your bucks.
Overall- well worth a look and at a fair price.
