In today's networks, increasing datacenter speed while maintaining security is vital. In this demo from RSA 2014, Eric Heaton, platform applications engineer, presents an SSL application with the Wind River Intelligent Network Platform (INP) software running on Intel hardware. Underlying Wind River's platform is the Intel Data Plan Development Kit (DPDK), a set of optimized full-mode drivers for Linux and highly optimized libraries for generic package management. The benefits of using INP software on Intel hardware include flexibility in network infrastructure along with a lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
