Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an action-adventure game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is based on the Indiana Jones franchise and features an original narrative based on the film series, which takes place between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s story is set in 1937 and follows Indiana Jones as he attempts to stop various groups who are seeking to harness a power connected to the Great Circle. The Great Circle is referred to as mysterious sites around the world that form a perfect circle when connected together on a map. The game’s story visits numerous real-world locations such as Rome, Thailand, Egypt, Shanghai and the Himalayas.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is played from a first-person perspective, but switches to a third-person view for certain gameplay actions and cutscenes. A player can choose to use either stealth or engage in direct combat with enemies. The game also features various puzzles, but most of them are optional. Indiana Jones's whip is used for both combat and traversal through certain areas of the game such as using the whip to swing over gaps or climbing pipes and walls.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle released for PC and Xbox Series X/S on December 9, 2024. The game will also release for PlayStation 5 in early 2025.
