2The Indian indices opened flat amid mixed global cues today.
The Sensex was up 5.05 points or 0.01 percent at 78,545.22, and the Nifty was down 0.30 points or 0.00 percent at 23,753.15. About 1460 shares advanced, 879 shares declined, and 132 shares unchanged.
Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, TCS, Coal India and ICICI Bank were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Titan Company, JSW Steel, Cipla, Grasim and Tata Consumer.
