Indie game dev takes evolution on both sides — outside in terms of professional skills and inside in terms of personal alignment and motivation.
Pushing yourself only goes so far.
Depression will humble every workaholic.
Our modern world doesn’t know how to deal with the dark inner world — most advice is suppression or avoidance to “get over it” and get back to work.
But there is immense power in those down seasons, and immense wisdom to be gained if we know how to feel into them and learn from them.
