IndieView - Ubermosh
4Ubermosh is very simple but elegant in its design. You have exactly 90 seconds to destroy as many of your enemies as possible and of course not die in the process. This game is all about fast replay, like arcade games of yesteryear. Armed with a sword you will dance across the battlefield weaving death while using your enemies weapons against them. For an EA title this all works very well and and the controls feel very tight. As far as difficulty goes, Ubermosh is far from an easy game but death doesn't feel cheating usually, unless an enemy teleports on top of you. One thing to keep in mind though is that you pay for what you get here. While the visuals, music, and gameplay of Ubermosh are fantastic. It's short, repetitive and mostly involves killing everything in sight. Beating your own score is all that is currently involved in the game. Hopefully leaderboards and more features to shake things up a little are on the way. (Bosses would be sweet.) If you are the type of person who played Flash games for hours trying to top leaderboards or you enjoy games where you slaughter endlessly. Ubermosh is going to satisfy. Those looking for something more complex and feature rich, may be disappointed. So get your twitch fingers ready and sharpen those eyes and play some Ubermosh!
