Indominus Rex, Alpha EDH Deck Tech: Keyword Soup!
Indominus Rex, Alpha is a new commander that rewards you for discarding creatures with keywords. In this deck tech, we build a keyword soup deck that aims to give Indominus Rex as many keywords as possible so that it can become a Voltron commander and win the game through commander damage.
We use cards like Kitchen Imp, Questing Beast, and Banehound to give Indominus Rex keywords like first strike, vigilance, and lifelink. We also use cards like Sylvan Caryatid and Carnage Tyrant to give Indominus Rex keywords like hexproof and indestructible.
To support our Voltron strategy, we run cards like Blackblade Reforged, Phyresis, and Tainted Strike to make Indominus Rex even more powerful. We also run cards like Rogue's Passage and Mandate of Abaddon to help Indominus Rex get through our opponents' defences.
Finally, we run some graveyard recursion cards like Eternal Witness and Timeless Witness to bring back our keyword creatures after they've been discarded. We also run Tortured Existence to help us find our keyword creatures in our graveyard and to get around commander tax.
If you're looking for a fun and unique commander deck to build, then Indominus Rex, Alpha is a great option. With its keyword soup strategy, this deck can be very powerful and is sure to win you some games.
