Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson has told us that he was never keen to make a war movie because he was worried about spoiling his hobby – his war collection is the thing he does to get his head out of the film world when he’s not working.

In this second episode of our exclusive series, Lisa Hartle has been given a tour of his astonishing WW1 memorabilia collection that includes uniforms, gas masks and a number of brutal ‘trench weapons’ designed to bludgeon the enemy at close contact. ⚒️
