Inside Out 2: A Wonderful Sequel That Shouldn't Exist. The movie left me torn. While the anxiety attack scene saved it from being forgettable, there are some issues I can't overlook. Firstly, the addition of new emotions feels forced. It's hard to buy that they were there all along, especially since they seem like rehashed versions of the original cast. Anxiety, for instance, feels like Fear with a dash of Disgust. Moreover, the reorganization of brain areas feels disjointed. Joy's memory catapult contradicts the first movie's message about cherishing all memories. And what happened to Bing Bong? The replacement of Bing Bong's memory dump with a subconscious lake feels like a disservice to his character. Lastly, the inconsistency with personality islands and the half-baked scenario creation studio left me scratching my head. Despite these flaws, the movie had its moments and managed to weave a coherent storyline. Yet, I can't help but feel it undermines the brilliance of the original.
