Insta360 Evo VR Video | 180-degree test samples
VR test video shot with the Insta360 Evo camera. To watch these 4K resolution 180-degree videos with proper depth of field, check them out on a virtual reality headset or using something like a Google Cardboard viewer on your smartphone.
Insta360's new Evo camera is a compact solution for shooting VR-ready footage, at over 4K resolution. The dual lenses can record everything surrounding you, stitching the images together into an impressive 360-degree movie - or they can capture 180-degree video like these samples, offering proper depth when viewed back on a headset.
The first part of this Evo review shows off the design, features and Insta360's app, available for iOS and Android. You can use your iPhone or Android mobile to remote trigger the camera, edit your movies and share with your online accounts. It's impressively quick and easy to do - go check out part one for a closer look. I've also shot some 360 samples with the Evo, for a proper full-surround virtual reality experience.
