156👉 The Powkiddy V90 was my very first (emulation) retro handheld, and despite all of its flaws, I still love that stupid thing today. Imagine my surprise and excitement this Spring when Powkiddy announced and then released the V90's successor, the V90S. Then imagine my dismay and disgust when the V90S arrived and turned out to be kind of a dud.

We'll walk you through the step-by-step installation of Knulli Gladiator—a major upgrade that dramatically improves performance, stability, and features like quick resume, updated emulators, and power management on the V90S.
The Powkiddy V90S is a clamshell-style handheld gaming console featuring a 3.5-inch IPS display with a 640x480 resolution. It runs on the Allwinner A133 Plus chipset, powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and a PowerVR GE8300 GPU. The device includes 1GB of DDR3 RAM and operates on a Linux-based system. Storage is expandable via microSD, and it has USB-C charging with a 3000mAh battery. The control layout consists of a D-pad, four face buttons, L1/L2/R1/R2 shoulder buttons, and additional function keys. Connectivity options are limited, with no built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
