Install Opera Browser with its FREE UNLIMITED VPN in Ubuntu 16.04
In this Commix and More video, we are going to install Opera Browser on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or any Ubuntu-based Operating System. In this tutorial we are using Eskwela OS, a lightweight operating system based on the LTS version of Ubuntu.
For us to install the Opera web browser we will do the following steps:
1. Go to: http://www.opera.com/computer/linux
2. Download the ***.deb file from the Opera website
3. Next open a terminal and type: sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
4. Next type: sudo apt-get install libcurl3
5. After installation, you can go the Downloads Folder where the downloaded deb file has been saved.
6. On that folder, right click on a blank space and run a terminal
7. In the terminal type: sudo dpkg -i opera-stable*.deb
Once that is done, you can now run Opera browser.
To Setup the VPN on Opera Browser:
1. Click on the Opera Icon.
2. Head over to Settings - Security and Privacy - Enable VPN
3. Once the orange VPN sign turns blue, you are already running Opera's VPN while browsing.
