Installing 2007- 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Bumper Caps by Rough Country
27Gain the aggressive look and functionality of a stubby bumper without the extreme cost of a full replacement with Rough Country’s Jeep JK Front Bumper Caps.
This do-it-yourself kit eliminates 11.5-inches of bumper on each side.
Before you begin installation review the included instructions and make sure you have all the required parts, hardware, and tools before proceeding.
To begin installation:
Make sure your vehicle is on a level surface.
Measure 3 1/2” from the extruding portion of the bumper and mark with tape.
Cut the bumper using a reciprocating saw, making sure to remove the steel bumper behind the plastic bumper.
While not required, sanding or trimming any loose particles and painting over the exposed metal will make for a cleaner install and may help prevent it from rusting.
Place the caps on the bumper making sure the caps are aligned with the bumper.
Using a quarter-inch drill bit, drill 5 holes using the bumper cap as a guide.
Lastly, install caps using the supplied black pins.
