In this video I'll show you how to install a dedicated Satisfactory Server on Ubuntu 12.10 Server. This is the configuration I use on my own dedicated Satisfactory server that I use for friends and family. It works well.

I have it running in a VM on ESXi. The VM has 4 vCPU, 16GB of RAM, and an 80GB disk backed by SSD. I believe the minimum RAM for a Satisfactory server is 12GB, but I'd recommend no less than 16GB.
