Installing ESXDOS on the ZX Spectrum Next

Do I need ESXDOS?
Want to boot TRD files? Then this applies to you.
Many users will be content running the Next as a Next. For those who want the purity of running a classic Spectrum model e.g. a 128K Plus, they will need ESXDOS in order to load and save from SD card and so on.
Why is ESXDOS not included with the Next?
Legalities prevent this from happening. The Next is officially licensed and as such the responsibility is on the end user to install it.
What are these personalities that are talked about?
When you press space on boot, you are presented with a list of personalities. Personalities are different personas that the Next can take on, all still use the Next core (this does not change). For example, all of the machines use a Z80 processor, some have an AY sound chip, features that are present in the Next core.
Each personality adds, removes, configures different hardware aspects, loads specific ROM files (e.g. original 48K Spectrum ROM, original Spectrum +2 ROM) in order to give you that original hardware running on the Next.
