A recent leak has basically confirmed that Intel will continue to support DDR4 for their upcoming Raptor Lake-S 13th gen desktop CPUs. This is a pretty big deal because this will appeal to many PC gamers and hardware enthusiasts looking to jump to a new gen CPU but don’t want to pay the high prices of DDR5 memory. Meanwhile AMD hasn’t said anything about supporting DDR4 on AM5 for their upcoming Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 CPUs. This means Intel will have a huge advantage when it comes to value which is very important. I’m sure AMD is well aware of this and have something planned. Which could be either more CPUs for existing AM4 motherboards or perhaps AM5 will have some DDR4 motherboard variants.
