In addition to showcasing Intel’s AI-accelerated super sampling, known as XeSS, at the company’s Architecture Day 2021 event, the company shared some of the additional details for its upcoming Arc gaming graphics cards. To accelerate AI processing by using Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) matrix engines in its next-generation GPUs, Intel is also using dedicated Xe-cores to power its XeSS technology.
