I always wanted to compile the 3 "Haterverse" games into a little 3D arcade simulator and put it up on Steam. I decided against an avatar walking around (it would be a pretty empty arcade with only 3 games!) and whipped this up quickly instead.
I removed the Hater branding - anyone stumbling onto the game not familiar with the Amico saga would be scratching their heads... These games started as a parody, but they're kinda fun little score attack games good for a few minutes' lark - I've had friends enjoying them who don't follow the Amico, so what the hell.
Here's what has changed since the originals (each individual game has still had less than 24 hours of work total, though Ski Fall is right on the 1-day limit I set myself - this does not include the new frontend/framework though):
General
All 3 games in one application, with nostalgic frontend.
Added Steam Leaderboards for global online competition. Try for the high scores!
Volume and fullscreen/resolution settings. Note that res settings are largely untested and some weird aspect ratios might be crummy - let me know if so, please.
Achievements added, because why not.
Astro Clash (formerly Hatersmash)
Replaced the ugly background.
Base shield visually covers the ship instead of it poking out a bit.
Shark Park (formerly Hater! Hater!)
Fixed a one-word bug which disabled the progression system I had for the sharks (making them faster and more aggressive the longer you played - the Anti-Karma Engine!). The game now gets significantly harder.
Tweaked the size of the fish so the smaller ones are a little more obvious. Remember, when you reach Max size you can eat ALL fish to really rack up the score.
Ski Fall (formerly Hater Piste)
Fixed the physics bug that sent snowballs floating off now and then.
Tweaked the course to make it more enjoyable, including a few double-gates where you can hit either one to avoid penalty.
Removed the NSFW music option as it had clips of Amico shills and such in it... sorry Tommy Ouyamico! The original is still up at the old link for anyone to enjoy it with the great Amico-themed soundtrack.
