The Outlast Trials is the new entry in The Outlast series, serving as a prequel to the first two Outlast games. The Outlast Trials Beta gave us a sneak peak into whats to come for the newest Outlast game and it did not disappoint. The Outlast Trials begins with a more traditional horror game intro navigating your way through a facility filled with horrors. After completing this intense tutorial, you are then whisked away to a central hub where you can interact with other players before choosing which trial you would like to complete. I completed "Snitches Get Stitches", the only trial available during the beta, solo however you can play with up to four players in this Outlast Co-op experience. Rather than taking the normal Outlast approach of playing through a singular story driving experience, The Outlast Trials offer mini stories in the form of challenges, grading you in your performance up completion, offering more replayability as you try to beat your score. Although I played The Outlast Trials solo, I can definitely see where the addition of friends would offer a much more chaotic, funny yet more efficient experience in the trials. Overall I really enjoyed The Outlast Trials Closed Beta and I'm looking forward to the full release in the near future!
