Intention, Response & Responsibility - Kirblog 3/19/16
Continuing forth with the string of topics I've been doing for the last month or so, I answer a great question this week from Rtkts about my thoughts on rights and responsibilities held by creators when it comes to their content being consumed by the audience it's presented to. Once again using TOME as the main example (spoilers ahead, as usual) I go into a behind-the-scenes look on certain things intended from the decisions I made with the characters and story; both that were set from the beginning and what changed as time went on. In addition, how audience response versus what you hope to comes across in your stories can impact the creation itself over the course of how they play out. Finally, I dip into some personal territory about the responsibilities of a creator lie on how they present themselves, what they put out there, and how both they AND their work can impact the people who invest their time and emotion into what they do. This one's been a long time coming and is extremely important to me, so I hope it made for an interesting discussion and may shed some light on several things. For long-time viewers, please make sure to take a listen to this Kirblog.
