Arcade Shock description:

The evolution of the Phreakmods' Link is finally here. After years of brainstorming and months of testing, The Link EX Groove is a reality.

Phreakmods the original designer of the removable shaft, THE LINK has been tremendously successful since they launched this many years ago (we don't know the exact year - shame on us). Over time, Phreakmods made some slight changes to the build, construction and added a little color to them, but the shape has pretty much remained the same

For quite some time, Phreakmods has brainstormed various features that he wanted to implement in the new design and today, the successor is finally a reality

This venture to a successor started with a simple discussion a little over a year ago. Ideas were thrown around, as well as feedback heard from current Link users. With various companies throughout the industry jumping on the removable shaft project themselves, from Victrix, Sanwa Denshi, IL and Crown / Samducksa, each of those designs for the most part accomplished, the same thing, which was to remove the shaft without any tools

However, each of those companies had to compromise either convenience or some standard features that the original THE LINK enjoyed, which is easy to remove and reinstall, while at the same time, use stock vital parts, such as a standard ball and bat top and also dust washer

The main difference with this unit versus the original is obvious from just the appearance, which is the upper part of the shaft is the same size as the lower part, which allows those who use the wine glass grip method will do so with comfort. In general, once you use this compared to the original, the EX Groove feels more solid, hefty in the hands. In short, it just feels right and comfortable with all variety of grips

We would like to thank Rich, owner of Barcode for testing the first prototype and the revisions in his facility which allowed Phreakmods to make vital changes to get to the final design

Features
Standard 6mm Thread for Ball and Bat Tops
Standardized Radius Top Part of Shaft
Upgraded Collar Grip (Ease to Release and Reinstall in seconds)
