0Fukio "MTJ" Mitsuji (1960 - 2008) was the designer behind Taito's Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, Volfied and others. This interview is from "Taito Legends", video was produced by Tadasu Hasegawa. Closed captions in English are available.
Video was ripped from the EU PS2 version and audio from the PC version. The video source was heavily compressed interlaced anamorphic MPG2, so don't expect any miracles with video quality :). Seems like the EU PS2 version at least had the highest resolution, so that's why I went with that one. But wasn't successful in ripping the audio, so that's why I am using audio from the PC version.
On the video side of things I have upscaled to 1440, attempted de-interlacing as best as Premire Pro could manage, evened out the grading a bit, replaced the text signs with high-res ones. Audio wise I evened our the levels a tad, cleaned up noise and fixed some minor issues. It's not perfect, but better than the source.
