The impact of this scene might be lost on those for whom this is their first entry into the Yakuza series, but keep in mind what we’re USED to seeing from Majima in the rest of the games. He’s basically Japanese Joker: maniacally unhinged, terrifyingly cunning, violently twisted, beats his subordinates into a bloody pulp over minor transgressions, has a sadomasochistic crush on the main character, and is voiced by Mark Hamill. So seeing him shown in THIS light with this game was, in a word, surprising.
