Max% Speedrun Rules:
All whip upgrades must be collected in chronological order and all the shops and free item checks must be visited as well. Simon must have 8 laurels, 8 garlic, all the necessary quest items to enter Dracula’s castle, all subweapons, and the silk bag. Also the run allows the use of a 100% drop rate patch to speed up farming to Level 6 since farming is a time waster and not an actual show of proficiency at the game.
Max% is not a legitimate speedrun leaderboard category, but rather just a different way to beat the game. This run uses a patch that forces a 100% heart drop rate, in order to speed up farming and make the run more watchable on stream.
