In this video we investigate the performance impact of Nvidia's ShadowPlay technology, and explain why it has a virtually meaningless hit on FPS by benchmarking several games at 1080P, 1440P and finally 4K.

We test using an I7-8700 and a GTX 1080 Ti founders edition card (all at the default settings) with Nvidia's shadow play capturing at several different quality settings. We also capture these results to a different SSD to minimize IO impact.
