It's been a long road for fans of the adult animated superhero series Invincible. After premiering back in 2021, the realities of producing an animated show in lockdown took its toll. Fortunately, Season 2 is right around the corner, with its November 3 premiere date drawing closer, and the Invincible Atom Eve Special available now on Prime Video.

In this interview with Collider's Perri Nemiroff at San Diego Comic-Con, series creator Robert Kirkman talks about the long wait time between Season 1 and 2, and the challenges of producing an animated series. He also talks about drawing inspiration from the comics, which characters surprised him, and the Season 2 moment he is most excited for fans to experience.
