iPhone charger broken? Wireless charging is intermittent and sucks
6We all love iPhones, functional, stylish, sleek, & durable. They've become a part of our lives, helping us complete daily tasks like large math equations, finding definitions, or even contacting others. But when it comes to charging them, Apple has been shady yet again, this time by removing a small piece of rubber from the end of their chargers that prevents the cable from fraying and being destroyed.
If you miss the 30 pin connector that didn't get destroyed, you're on the same boat. The new Apple chargers cost $30 dollars, the same price as wireless charging. Here is a picture of the old Apple connector that used to not break, compared to the new one that does:

My opinion is that these cheap little packet receivers don't do their job well and are often on and off. Also, a flat style charging receiver may offer more surface area than one that is vertical.
Wireless charging isn't perfect! Sometimes if you don't have the phone positioned correctly on the charging base, the charging will be intermittent. Also, if the case is too thick, the charging will be intermittent. However, if the phone is properly placed on the pad, the charging is similar to the same speed as a pluggable charger. The problem with third party chargers is that sometimes you will get notifications like "Accessory not supported," or the charger has to be inserted a certain way to actually function. Sometimes, the phone won't even turn on with a third party charger.
