iPhone 6 range devices will be disabled if Apple detects third party repairs if they are updated to iOS 9. Even if the user attempts to rollback the device to an earlier version, the security measures will only show off error 53.
Apparently this is deliberate to stop the use of third party touch ID being used in a way that could compromise security.
