IPM Invader (1979) by IPM. This is a clone of Space Invaders Part II, this time from IPM (who were later known as Irem). Five rows of colorful invaders appear on screen, and these invaders must be killed by pressing the attack button. Points for killing them vary depending on which row the alien is on. At the same time, you must move your ship left or right to avoid the alien fire. You can hide behind one of four barricades at the bottom of the screen if you want shelter. Occasionally, a UFO passes by and this can be shot at for a fifty-point bonus. Lose all your ships and the game is over.

IPM Invader contains several features that made it unique:

- After every third wave, an intermission known as "Coffee Break" will appear. A coffee mug will be drawn on screen, and it is filled with two rows of space invaders. This allows players the chance to rest from the monotonous and repetitive onslaught from waves of invaders.

- When the game's dip switches are changed to the advanced settings, the game becomes more difficult. With the exception of the first wave, the UFO that passes by will drop "capsules" along the top-most row, thus defeating the players 'narrow column' strategy.

- The game has separate horizontal and vertical outputs (called Dual Sync), and these outputs have been converted to composite negative Horizontal sync because they won't work on most monitors.
