The powerful iQOO 12 flagship phone is set for an official launch in China on December 12th, 2023. iQOO has confirmed the device will be among the first to feature the brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform by Qualcomm.

This next-generation chipset succeeds the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with significant improvements. Built on TSMC's cutting-edge 4nm process, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 delivers up to 35% faster CPU performance and up to 40% faster GPU rendering.

The CPU utilizes the latest Arm Cortex-X3 core clocked at super-fast 3.2GHz speeds. The Adreno GPU provides up to 25% power savings for longer gaming. The integrated Snapdragon X70 5G Modem-RF system enables staggering 10Gbps peak 5G speeds.

With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powering the iQOO 12, consumers can expect a tremendous boost in overall performance. From lag-free interface fluidity to next-level gaming, the chipset brings true flagship power. The vivo sub-brand is leveraging Qualcomm's latest silicon to deliver an ultra-premium Android experience.

Other key iQOO 12 specs based on leaks include a 6.78" Samsung E6 LTPO OLED display with 1440p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. A 4700mAh battery with monstrous 200W fast charging will keep the lights on. The triple camera setup includes a new 50MP primary lens and 13MP ultra-wide angle lens.

The iQOO 12 is shaping up to be an absolute spec beast in time for the holidays. With its combination of bleeding-edge hardware, rapid charging, high-end display, and Android 13 software, it will be one of 2023's most exciting flagships.
