Up is down, left is right and the accelerator is a brake pedal in John’s latest sim racing challenge. After strapping back into the Traxion sim room for the first time following the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual, John has a new challenge awaiting. Rich may have had a hand in the sabotage.

Utilizing the new Hyundai Elantra N TCR on the iRacing service, John has loaded into Lime Rock Park for some practice laps and an AI race. The catch is that all of the inputs on his racing rig are backwards.

To go left, John needs to turn right. For upshifting, it’s the downshift paddle. The accelerator is now the brake pedal, and all of that is vice versa. It’s going to take all the concentration he can muster to not fling the TCR off to the opposite side of the track and into the barrier.

Can John keep the shiny new Touring Car clean and on the racing surface? How does he stack up to the amateur AI? Can it even be done at a respectable pace? You’ll have to tune in to see how it all turns out…
