In simple terms, Britain and France are at war over a valuable new source of energy. They are using mechs called "Ironcast" which have proven to be more sturdy and longer-lasting than tanks and light vehicles. You command one of these Ironcast, and it's your job to gain resources by matching colored block on the grid below that symbolize various components, and use these to command your unit to attack, repair, defend (shield), and walk (evasion) each turn.
+ Very strategic gameplay where you are constantly thinking about the best combination of tiles to destroy, and the best way to use your resources to both do the most damage while also taking the least amount of damage possible.
+ Unique turn-based mechanics where essentially each turn you are able to match up to 3 chains, and then are able to attack / defend / repair until your resources run out, although you may want to keep some for next turn.
+ Great background music / soundtrack
+ Wonderful graphics / art-style, I especially like the weapon animations and the very clean UI in the center where you match the tiles and choose your attacks.
+ Challenging enemies to face especially if you choose the harder missions
+ Difficult but exciting boss fights
- (This may be a positive to some) but when you die it's essentially "Game Over" and you can not go back to your last save, you must restart and lose all your progress. You do earn little perks and unlock new characters / ironcast to use, but it can still be sad as you don't always know what you will be facing or how difficult the enemy will be. (sometimes the odds are stacked against you)
